 Quick Pair of Mittens

I just finished up a quick pair of mittens for my little girl (I know, I know, not really girly colors). I was inspired by a pair I saw on Lisa's blog and followed her directions (second post on this page) for mine as well.

Anyway, they were a quick knit and have already come in very handy!

Happy knitting,
Laura B

Thanks for posting about these! I've been looking for a pattern for mitts for my 9-month-old DS but haven't been able to find anything I liked. (Who makes mittens for a baby on size 8 needles? . . . ) Now I'm all set
:-)

How many stitches did you decrease on each side in each decrease row? (if that makes sense . . .)

On every decrease row I decreased four stitches total. So, two stitches decreased on each side, I think is the answer to your question.

I basically treated the decrease section like the toe of a sock. So, I was using four dpns and on needle one, I k until the last three sts, then k2tog, k1. On needle two, I k1, then ssk, then k to end of needle. N3 same as N1. N4 same as N2. Hope that makes sense. :)
