Hat and Booties
I love this pattern ("Baby Basics" by Fiber Trends). The booties were so easy to knit, and the little button on the top of the hat is a really sweet touch.

The Rowan Wool Cotton ("Tender") was a happy choice. It's very soft ... squishy, even ... and was quite easy to work with. I'll be using it again.

So cute!
Oh yeah, best damn bootie pattern period.
(I never made the lacy version actually - I'll have to try that next time!
That's a very nice pattern! I may have to buy it too. Wonder how it would look in neutrals in case my baby is a boy?
Faith ... I think it would look fine. The pattern also includes instructions for a plainer watch cap version (which is pictured in forest green).
