Nothing better than growing into baby knits!

And the little one agrees! Just look at that smile. I can't believe she's almost 6 months old. My goodness, how the time flies! Considering how quickly she's growing and how little time I've had for knitting, if I knit a sweater for a six-year-old there's a good chance I'll finish before she outgrows it!!!

Absolutely adorable photo! What pattern is the sweater/dress she's wearing?

Painfully cute.

I never thought I'd ever say something trumps the joys of knitting, but the happiness that comes with seeing babies smile like that - I'd say it's worth the sacrificed knitting time.... not to mention sleep. They are a lot of work - but you can't beat the rewards.

It's beautiuful - the baby and the sweater.

A dear friend knit the dress for me. It's a Debbie Bliss pattern. You can't see the detail in this particular photo, but it has a border of little sheep along the hemline. I'll see if I can find the name of the book that the pattern was in.
