 Catching Up

Inspired by Laura's post, I thought I'd do a catch up. I'm not having a baby, but lots of other people are.

I made some Pinwheel Blankets, for babies near and far. This one is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted for Micah in London.

This one is DROPS Karisma Superwash, for Charlotte Rose in Australia.

This stripy one is Rowan's All Season's Cotton, for Isaac in Edinburgh.

And this is snowy white Paton's Jet, for Sean in Surrey.

I'm planning to do another one in All Seasons Cotton for a baby in Dubai, but I haven't cast on yet.

I made a hat and scarf for a baby who turned out to be Jessica whose Dad, now in Australia, is a fan of Newcastle United FC.

And I also made her a shawl; the wool is handspun by Needlework's Pleasure, blended from Australian merino and Northumbrian BFL, just as she is.

I made Jessica a Daisy Hat too, because all little girls should start life with a Daisy Hat.

This is a cocoon that I'm working on, only I've remembered that the mum is allergic to wool, so I'll have to find someone else to give it to. It's Paton's Jet again, a blend of wool and alpaca in a heavenly snowy white.

I finally made a Cupcake Hat, after years of meaning to and forgetting. It's made from leftovers of Rowan Kid Classic.

I think that's everything, phew.

 It's been a while...

but I do have a new baby on the way! I'm due in September, and I'm knitting up a storm! I started the February Baby Sweater from EZ in madelinetosh, color Ms. Taylor. I also finished the Coming Home set from Debbie Bliss' Baby Essentials. I was hoping for another boy, but I'm getting really excited about our little girl! Wish me luck, and soon I hope to post more on my blog, with pictures! :)
